Right down at the foot of Taygetos
Mountain is the city of Kalamata located. It is a favorite spot for
summer holidays for a lot of Greeks from all over Greece and abroad.
The long pebble beach of Kalamata offers a lot of different Cafes
and Taverns along the beach where also adults and children can enjoy
themselves. One of the attractions is the International Dance
Festival mid July as well as various concerts and theatre plays that
take place all through August.
The city is a great spot to explore
all three fingers of Peloponnese, each showing off its own beauty
and charm to the traveler in a different way.
